Brief
“Gesundheitsjournal” was a healthcare magazine in print format, developed by Journal International in 2008 and sent out to members three or four times a year by post until 2017. The brief was to transform this magazine into an online magazine. To simplify and smooth this change of media for readers and members, the new online magazine should echo the visuals and content of the print magazine. The primary aim was to retain the regular readership.


Solution
Online magazine based on Typo-3 and published four times a year. The focus continues to be on original infotainment in the familiar print categories including Family, Health and Fitness. The attractions of the new magazine for readers are primarily its authentic imagery, its clear-cut design tailored to mobile devices, and a range of interesting competitions with quality prizes.

 

Result
The new online magazine was promoted by newsletters and the BKK Gildemeister Seidensticker website. After three issues, feedback response rates for the online magazine had risen to roughly equal those for the print magazines sent by post to around 105,000 readers up to 2017.
